The FRS v2 is the latest closed-cell ram air kite from Kitech. It is the totally revamped version of the successful FRS kite model, which excels on all surfaces. Choose kiteboard, kitesurf, snowkite, landboard, kite buggy and enjoy the performance, maneuverability and direct kite reactions!
Launching is simpler and the new valves fill up your kite faster for an exhilarating ride: direct control, dynamic lift, increased hang time, predictable and soft landings, amazing up and downwind qualities! The FRS v2 outperforms on every important aspect the all favorite and successful original FRS edition.
Every size became faster and more maneuverable. New size: the 7m 2 is replacing the 6m 2 kite.
Let’s see how all these came together:
-New profiles: the jump height and hang time significantly increased. The landing is soft and easy.
-New kite tension and bridal systems: the kit es are stiffer,filling with air is faster and the kites go upwind significantly better.
-New diagonal rib system: simplified system, less weight.
-New optimized bridal system: significantly less overall bridal lines-reduced drag and resistance. The kites are flying faster and sharper on the reach and gain several degrees on upwind tacks.
-New plastic battens to ensure deformation-free leading edge, fast air filling, and a smooth-running kite in all directions of travel. The more rigid leading edge also increases the power and the performance of the kite including its jumping properties.
-New intake valves: faster filling with air and higher internal kite pressure and increased wing rigidity.
-New internal band system: increased structural rigidity, less weight and faster turns.
-New pulley system: simpler design using lighter pulleys
-New tunable break lines! TUNE YOUR KITE TO PERFECTION: Twintip-Allround-Foil Setups. Thanks to the adjustable design of the brake line, you can choose between freight train like harder pulling power for twintip, and the softer hydrofoil optimized settingfor higher flight speeds. The all-round setting is an optimum that provides a great choice in all areas of use.
-New Quick Release (QR) increases security, easy handling, unlocking or assembly. You can choose between several sizes. We even added a rope slider design for wave riders and hydrofoilers.
-New backpack: The new impregnated, light, soft materialmeans lower weight and size, which is an advantage in terms of weight and package size when traveling by plane.
-New bar bag: Impregnated material, ventilated design. Protects the bar and the kite from moisture. The backpack has its separate pocket for holding the bar.

High-quality, Ultra Light materials: Since 2002, we have been manufacturing Kitech Kites using the highest quality raw materials available. The use of UL materials improves filling up of the kite with air during launch, makes the canopy more dynamic, faster and more maneuverable even in the smallest breeze!
Optimized valves: The new position provides faster filling and higher internal pressure, resulting in a stiffer dome. The redesigned shape also protects against inadvertent water inflow.
Internal stiffening rods: One of the new features of the V2 are light, flexible plastic rods that support the profile of the leading edge making it stiffer and constant in various conditions, which greatly improves the performance of the kite.
Internal diagonal ribs and tape system: The longitudinal tape system and the optimized diagonal ribs together stiffen the wing and ensure the proper load distribution of the upper and lower kite surfaces, and supporting the accuracy of the original profile.
Wrapped lines: High-quality, low-stretch dyneema lines from market-leading manufacturers, used in an intelligent mix everywhere. These reduce air resistance and result in a permanently accurate trim, which ensures the long-term flawless operation of the kite.
Due to the cover, the cord is less fragile, does not shrink and is not prone to looping.
Double pulley system: On the adjustable mixer system, we use smaller bearings-free Ronstan pulleys, which are less sensitive to sand.
Water outlet system and valve: Thanks to our specially designed rib system, kites quickly release water when necessary through the water outlet valves on the wing tip.
Velcro release valves: The 2 Velcro release valves on the trailing edge ensure quick and efficient release of air and with that making unpacking of the V2 a breeze.
Individually developed kite sizes: Each size was designed and manufactured to achieve similar flight characteristics and handling.
Safe and foolproof line connections: The pigtails and the attachments on the kites only allow correct assembly. In addition, it is easy to compensate for changing line length by using pigtails.
Technical backpack: The backpack made of new material is lighter, takes up less space and has a water-repellent coating. With external bar holder, practical pockets and adjustable shoulder straps.
Factory-quality repair: In our Europe-based manufacturing plant, we can carry out all necessary repairs in factory quality with original materials and solutions! Dome repair, rib, band or panel replacement, repair of cord damage, trimming, and inspection are all handled in-house.

The Kitech Free RS (Ride/Style) - is Kitech’s 15th generation, mid aspect ratio (AR) kite
The FRS is the newest addition of the Kitech line up designed for fun on the water, land and snow. The kite has amazing stability, flying characteristics and performance!
What is FRS standing for?
The FRS was created to achieve to following design goals:
Easy, user friendly setup: Kitech uses the shortest possible bridle lines, by employing high end German Dyneema lines. The lines are actually relatively thick to withstand wear and tear, keep length constant and most importantly the lines are almost totally tangle free. A few shakes of the bridle system and you are ready to go.
Fast, easy and safe launch: the new valves let the kite to fill up exceptionally fast. The kite is controllable during filling. It is advisable to do this maneuver with open adjuster and pulled in bar (full power mode).
Higher performance, less drag: new, carefully chosen profiles combined with higher aspect ratio and higher numbers of cells
Faster flying speed, better upwind characteristics, smaller turning radius and more dynamic looping: optimized 3D shape, low drag profiles, smaller bridle drag, higher internal pressure
Higher and longer jumps: faster flying speed, direct flying characteristics, optimized lines, and trim
Amazing drift: for wave and hydrofoil applications we managed to improve on the legendary drifting ability of the Fly4!
Low wind performance: especially important for hydrofoiling.
No wing tip folding during jibes: the Fly4! never had that annoying problem, quite common on race kites. FRS is also free of tip folding.
Easy and safe solo launch and landing: to get started on the FRS is fast and easy. It was, however, also important for us to keep the legendary relaunch of the Fly4!. The geometry and bridle setup makes relaunches (side or reverse) very easy. In addition, due to Kitech’s proprietary stitching technology the kites can be relaunch even after 30 min in the water.
Kiteloop: making the loops faster, effortless even after 3 or 9 o’clock to Zenith. The pull through the loop is significantly reduced for less drag on hydrofoils and for safer megaloops.
Unhooked: increase kite stability and retain the legendary re-launching ability of the kite to be able to recover from every sketchy situation

Auto Positioning Chicken Loop – Designed in conjunction with the bar centre piece, the Megatron spinning handle allows chicken loop auto positioning, offering easy unhooked riding and hooking back in.
Magnetic trim handle system – The Magnetic trim handle connects to a magnetic neoprene sock covering the clam cleat to reduce tangles when the trimmer is depowered.
PU Covered trim line & cast stainless steel de-power ring – The tough PU covered trim significantly reduces wear when sheeting in and out, whilst the smooth running de-power ring also prevents trim line wear.
The Contact-Water Control System bar sizes come in 45cm, 50cm and 55cm. The larger size PU chicken loop (sold separately) is perfect for riders with longer arms or for riders wanting even easier hooking in & out.
